New Year, New Us!

New Year, New Us! Friday, March 4, 2022

Everyone hears or says the phrase “new year, new me!” over, and over again this time of year. So, let’s talk about it, what does “new year, new me” (or in this case, new US) mean for Lock, Stock, and Barrel? I think this phrase holds a lot of weight this year. For many people, it seems like the last two years blurred together into one long headache. So, for 2022, lets change that! Here at LSB we are working harder than ever to provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers, and take care of all their needs for feeding, farming, and more!  

What’s new in the store?

We decided early on this year that we would don our merchandising hats and put in some hard work and elbow grease to get the store looking in tip top shape! With the help of our dedicated staff, we’ve been working through the aisles, organizing, and displaying products in new ways to help you, the customer, have the best possible shopping experience. So far this year, our team has entirely redone the equine department! Our tack wall has been categorized into English and Western tack and accessories, and halters of all sizes, styles, and colors have been put on display. The equine supplements have been organized by purpose so that they are easy to browse through depending on your needs. We have also relocated our grooming tools and products so that you can find everything you need to keep your horse’s coat glowing and shiny all in one location! While working through this department we also stumbled upon some beautiful stall guards and stall accessories.

We have new changes coming to the power department as well! Lou and the power team have been hard at work to completely refresh the showroom. We’ve gotten new product displays and fixtures from Husqvarna and have rearranged our Stihl and Echo lines to show off all the new products and machinery. The show room is still in the process of being refreshed, but make sure to check out the progress pictures posted below. We can’t wait to show off the final outcome!

So why not come on down to the store and browse through our revamped equine department or take a peek at the new power showroom? We’re sure you’ll be able to find something to treat yourself and your horse this year! Our resident merchandising experts have big plans to continue working through the store, with the next big project to tackle being the cat food and accessories aisle. What are WE doing to up our game?

We’ve talked about how we’re working hard to make our retail store better than ever, but what about our people? As you all know, our knowledgeable and personable staff are what sets LSB apart from other agricultural retailers. We believe that staffing our store with people who can connect with our customers is key in the success of our business. Our sales associates genuinely care about you and your animals, and we are doing everything we can to solidify that. This year we are increasing our number of training sessions with our brand representatives to ensure that our sales associates are familiar and comfortable with all the products that we have available at LSB. This allows our team to have a thoughtful conversation with you about your needs, and confidently recommend brands and products that will work best for your situation.

Though we do have big plans coming for 2022, some things will never change. Along with our continued dedication to our customers, our delivery service is going stronger than ever. Throughout the coming year, our hardworking warehouse and delivery staff will continue to conveniently provide area farms with hay, shavings, feed and more. Our partnership with Astro Loyalty isn’t going anywhere either. Astro’s frequent buyer club and monthly deals are here to stay!
